Not very interesting or exciting. The news reporters tried to make it sound interesting: they failed.
They get “better stopping power”, the news said. Wooo.......
WEAK
Edit: You can have the Daytona with the 5.7 or 6.4 HEMI, so you can get the SRT appearance with an R/T now. You also get electronic active exhaust. It’s about $3k more than an R/T Plus
Same goes for the Challenger pretty much.

WTF? Like the awful Grand Cherokee redo, they make the cars look like they're squinting.

AB article on it:

This reveal gets a nice big *YAWN*. Some visual changes and an upgraded exhaust, that seemingly adds no extra power, and making a Charger Dayton without the proper wing, is not news.

Challenger T/A: A couple visual changes and an upgraded exhaust that doesn’t add any performance.
Charger Daytona: Pretty much the exact same story as above, but top speed has supposedly been increased from 135mph to 150mph.
Come on, Dodge, this doesn’t equal two new cars. Step up your game!

...so no one’s going to talk about space/time being visibly squished at the reveal location? We’re all just gonna ignore that? Hmm. Ok.

This is an all-new model by Mopar standards. Trim refresh? NEW CHARGER!

The word “new” in the marketing brochures.

“New Special Editions” means they can claim it for pretty much anything.
There are specific requirements for “All-New” to appear in a vehicle advertisement so I’m glad they were smart enough to avoid that...

This platform seems old as fuck.

It’s working for Toyota, I guess they figured it’s worth a shot.

Toyota actually releases a new platform every once in a while. Chrysler just inherit already-obsolete ones and stick with them.

More yellow cars is always better. There was no yellow Charger or Challenger for a little while. I’ll have to update the list .
